What You’ll Learn:
Level 1 Scope-
Living Letters – Level 1 is a 10-lesson primer designed to introduce students the foundational skills needed to read and write biblical Hebrew. The course covers all 22 consonants of the Hebrew Aleph-Bet, their final (sofit) forms, and the complete set of vowel points (nikudot). Students will learn correct pronunciation, some basic vocabulary, and the concept of three-letter root words (shoresh). Instruction includes both visual recognition and handwriting practice, preparing students for continued study in Level 2.
Level 2 Scope -
This course builds upon Level 1 and equips students to read, translate, and understand Biblical Hebrew directly from the Tanakh. Using interlinear texts, grammar instruction, and structured practice, students will learn the basics of Hebrew affixes, conjunctions, prepositions, gender and number agreement, pronouns, suffixes, and vocabulary within the context of Genesis 1–2, Numbers 6, the Disciples Prayer and other related passages.
