Psalm 4
This Psalm is dedicated to My Father, Roland James Miller. He passed away on the vary day of Yom Teruh 2021 (September 9th) unexpectedly in an automobile accident. IT is appropriately, a Psalm that cries out to the Master of the Universe to hear us and comfort us in our distress and pain! The first video is scenery of the blue Ridge Parkway where he lived and the second has the lyrics so that you can learn and sing along!!! For those new to Hebrew, the 'ch' in the transliteration is a guttural CHET sound more akin to Hey than a C, if it's a new sound for you just read it as you would an H and ignore the C!

Psalm 4/ Mizmor
Becor’í aneni Elohê tsidki,
Becor’í aneni Elohê tsidki,
Batsar hir’chavta li,
chaneni ushemá tefilati
When I call, Hear Me, Elohe Tzadiki
Mighty One of My Righteousness! Hear Me! I plea!
In my distress you have relieved!
Hear my Psalms...Have mercy on me!
In my distress you comfort me!
Hear my Psalms, have mercy on me!
Chorus:
Benê ish, ad mé chevodi
lichlima teehavun ric,
tevac’shú chazav sêlah
tevac'shu chazav Selah
You Sons of Men until when
will you turn my glory to shame?
How long will you love worthlessness
and lies instead of my Name!?
Udeú ki hifla YEHOVAH
chassid lo, YEHOVAH
yishmá becor’í elav
Yishma becor'i elav
YEHOVAH has set apart
His Holy Ones for His own heart
YEHOVAH will hear when I call Him!
He shall hear from His Holy Mountain!
Rigzu veal
techetáu,
imru vilvavechem
al mish’cavchem
vedômu sêla
vedômu sêla!
Tremble, and do not sin!
Meditate deep within!
Be still upon your bed!
Be still upon your bed!
Offer offerings of righteousness
Trust in YEHOVAH, and not in flesh
Zivechu zivechê tsédec,
uvitchú el YEHOVAH
Chorus:
Benê ish, ad mé chevodi
lichlima teehavun ric,
tevac’shú chazav sêlah
tevac'shu chazav Selah
You Sons of Men until when
will you turn my glory to shame?
long will you love worthlessness
and lies instead of my Name!?
Rabim omerim mi iar’ênu tov,
The masses cry out, who will show us good?
nessa alênu or panêcha YEHOVAH!
Lift upon us, the light of your face YEHOVAH!
Natáta simcha velibi, me'et deganam vetirosham rábu
You give me joy and gladness
Rejoicing, in completeness
More than an abundance of grain and wine
Beshalom iachdav eshkevá veishan, ki ata Adonai levadad lavêtach toshivêni
In peace I will lie down and I will rest
For you alone YEHOVAH in safety keep
